A senior lawyer who is a highly qualified attorney handling complex legal matters and projects on behalf of the Company.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Under minimal supervision, handles numerous commercial, corporate, and procurement matters in support of all business units, including planning, conducing, and supervising complex legal assignments, necessitating ability to evaluate matters which may have a major bearing on the conduct of the Company's business; evaluates both legal and business risks and advises clients accordingly. Interprets and applies organization policy according to law. Functional duties include providing general legal advice; contract review; drafting and negotiating agreements and deal terms; counseling clients; coordinating with litigation teams on warranty, breach, and other performance issues; coordinating with and provide consulting specialist support for OpCo and other A Nuclear Electric Power Generation Company BSC unit lawyers concerning corporate and commercial issues relating to service agreements and transactions governed by electric or gas utility tariffs, laws, or regulations; and providing guidance and training within this subject area. Prepares, and revises as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel. Provides lead direction and/or project leadership direction to less experienced attorneys and support staff.

  • Supports more senior attorneys in the ongoing management of relationships and matters with A Nuclear Electric Power Generation Company Operating Companies/Business Units and outside counsel.

  • Demonstrates innovation; generates new ideas and devises original and successful solutions, programs or actions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions. At least 7 to 10 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of the legal field to the completion of complex assignments. Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and on ongoing knowledge of federal or state law. Must have the ability to communicate clearly – both orally and in writing; to read and analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines.
