What you get to do
  • Review and draft legal documents, including nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), contracts, articles of incorporation, briefs and legal memoranda
  • Occasionally provide support with immigration matters
  • Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy
  • Identify relevant statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material
  • Perform legal and factual research of records
  • Organize, cross-check, validate and analyze information
  • Prepare written reports and correspondence
  • Build and maintain databases and files
  • Review of employment agreement job descriptions and severance agreements
  • Review and approve change orders, purchase orders, and proposals
  • Draft and review letters of intent (LOIs)
  • Assist and provide support to Legal Team, General Counsel and various cross-functional departments as assigned

What You Have:
  • J.D. Degree from an accredited institution. A member in good standing of a state bar
  • 1 to 3 years of direct experience:
    • Construction and/or technology fields preferred
    • Experience with immigration law a plus
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, editing, and negotiating various agreements: commercial, technical, licensing.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal principles, practices, research techniques, terminology, and communication principles and practices
  • In depth knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • Relevant computer knowledge and experience, proficiency in MS Office, particularly redlining/editing in Word
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent critical thinking, time management, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism with strong work ethics and sense of ownership and accountability
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues, customers, and business associates
  • Strong desire to learn, highly motivated, and willing to work on a wide variety of projects

Working Conditions and Environment:
  • Occasional travel may be required (less than 2%)
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Have or ability to obtain a valid passport
  • Physical requirements: Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm's length, and lifting up to 25 pounds
