Thompson Coburn LLP is looking for a 2L summer associate for 2027
in our Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have strong
writing and analytical skills and a demonstrated interest in
transactional and regulatory work. Our summer associates perform real
work for real clients. As a summer associate in our D.C. office, you'll
contribute substantively on matters involving regulatory compliance,
commercial agreements, federal agency requirements, and due diligence
for clients in the transportation, public transit, maritime, and federal
government contracting sectors, as well as explore other areas of
interest through the firm's unique work assignment system. We offer a
comprehensive 10-week program and invest significant resources to train
and prepare summer associates for their careers. Each of our summer
associates regularly meets with a partner mentor and an associate mentor
who provide guidance and advice. We provide opportunities for our
summer associates to learn about our firm's culture, our practice areas,
our different offices, and how we fulfill our firm's overarching
mission of Total Commitment to our clients, our people, and our
community. And the partners and associates at our firm look forward to
the various social events that allow us to get to know our summer
associates, who we view as the future of our firm.
