Closing Date: 17th June, 2026

Description:

Please note: This position is for candidates who have already graduated from law school and are currently clerking for a judge. It is intended for candidates who have not practiced at a law firm as a licensed attorney prior to their clerkship.

A Full-Service Law Firm recognizes the valuable real-world experience that former clerks bring to our practice and actively seeks lawyers with clerkship experience from both federal and state courts to join the firm as associates. More than 150 of our current attorneys have served as judicial clerks, including for the United States Supreme Court, United States Courts of Appeal, United States District Courts and state Supreme Courts. We recruit judicial clerks into specific practices and offices and encourage current clerks to apply by submitting a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and writing sample.

We evaluate our associate needs following the current term on a rolling basis; we will contact you directly if our practice group needs align with your experience and interest. Please contact Emily Reichs, Director of Lateral Recruiting, at emily.reichs@faegredrinker.com with any questions.

We offer a competitive bonus for judicial clerks and provide development year credit for clerkship experience. The anticipated initial annual salary range for an entry-level clerk depends on location and can range between $160,000 – $225,000.

Actual initial salary will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law. The initial salary range listed above is just one component of A Full-Service Law Firm's total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to, productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
