Job Summary:
A fast-pace, rapidly growing Fort Worth law firm is seeking a skilled and driven 1st Party Litigation Attorney to join our high-performance litigation team. We represent policyholders in first-property insurance disputes and are looking for an attorney who thrives in a competitive environment where results matter.

About the role:
As a key member of our litigation department, you will manage a docket of contingency-based 1st party property cases, and real estate transactions. You will take ownership of files from pre-litigation through litigation trial, supported by a strong internal team and a steady pipeline of quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee first-party litigation cases involving property damage, contractual disputes, or regulatory violations from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Clio and Westlaw to support case strategy and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
  • Develop effective negotiation strategies to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting the company's interests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across departments such as claims management, risk assessment, and compliance to gather pertinent information and develop comprehensive case approaches.
  • Represent the company in settlement negotiations, mediations, or court proceedings as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in relevant jurisdictions.
  • 1- 3 years of proven experience in litigation practice with a focus on first-party claims or related legal areas such as property damage or insurance defense.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and more.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative experience within a busy law office environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with strategic thinking for dispute resolution.

Pay
: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
