Associate Attorney - Business & Real Estate Litigation/Transactions

B Pleasant Law is a growing boutique law firm focused on business law, real estate law, and personal injury matters. We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Associate Attorney to join our Business and Real Estate practice groups.

This position is ideal for an attorney who wants meaningful client interaction, substantive responsibility, and the opportunity to grow with a business-driven firm that values initiative, professionalism, and practical problem-solving.

About the role:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience handling a combination of business and real estate transactions and litigation matters. The attorney will work directly with clients, assist with case strategy, draft and negotiate transactional documents, manage litigation matters, and collaborate closely with firm leadership.

This is not a back-room research position. We are looking for someone comfortable taking ownership of files, communicating with clients, and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
  • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients

Qualifications:
  • Prepared to learn and/or share knowledge and experience to meet client needs and grow client base
  • Licensed and in good standing in Texas
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation and transactional work
  • Experience in business and/or real estate law required
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to independently manage matters and deadlines
  • Professional demeanor and strong client-relations skills
  • Motivated, proactive, and growth-oriented mindset
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
  • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
  • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base

Compensation:
$95,000 yearly
