Prior workers' compensation experience is not required. We are open to training attorneys who are interested in developing their skills in California workers' compensation law.About the role:
We're looking for a motivated Workers' Compensation Deposition Attorney to join our growing team. This is a remote position focused primarily on depositions and other litigation-related responsibilities within our workers' compensation practice. You'll take and defend depositions, prepare clients, review case materials, and work closely with our attorneys and legal staff. This role is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants flexibility while gaining practical workers' compensation litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare clients for depositions
- Review case files and medical records in preparation for depositions
- Develop deposition strategies and outlines
- Communicate with clients regarding deposition preparation and case developments
- Coordinate with supervising attorneys on case strategy and next steps
- Collaborate with legal staff to ensure cases continue moving forward
- Develop a strong understanding of California workers' compensation laws and procedures
What We're Looking For:
- Active California Bar License (Required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence communicating with clients and opposing counsel
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and assignments in a remote environment
- Proactive and dependable approach
- Prior litigation, deposition, or case management experience is preferred
- Workers' compensation experience is preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn and grow within the workers' compensation practice area
