Description:
Position Summary:As a Workers' Compensation Attorney at A Nationally Respected Injury Team Law Firm, you will independently manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims. From the initial consultation to possible trial, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of your cases, including developing strategies, conducting negotiations, and advocating for your clients in court. While you'll have to lead your cases, you'll also benefit from the guidance of Adam, Founder of A Nationally Respected Injury Team Law Firm, who will provide strategic oversight to help you achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.
Essential Functions:
Client Advocacy & Legal Strategy
- Independently represent clients in workers' compensation claims, from consultation through trial, if applicable, providing expert legal guidance and aggressive representation.
- Work with A Nationally Respected Injury Team Law Firm to develop tailored legal strategies aimed at maximizing client compensation.
- Advise clients on their rights, the workers' compensation process, and next steps to secure the benefits they deserve.
- Prepare and file claims, motions, and other legal documents, ensuring all aspects of the case are thoroughly handled.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and employers, leveraging your legal expertise and Adam's guidance to achieve the best possible results.
- Manage all phases of workers' compensation litigation, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Represent clients on behalf of A Nationally Respected Injury Team Law Firm to strengthen case outcomes.
- Build compelling, fact-based cases through witness testimony, expert reports, and diligent evidence gathering.
- Develop and execute trial strategies aimed at achieving favorable verdicts for your clients.
- Establish and maintain clear, open lines of communication with clients, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the process.
- Demonstrate passion when working with clients who have experienced workplace injuries.
- Keep clients updated on the status of their cases, explaining legal concepts in a way that is understandable and accessible.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Illinois; Multiple states preferred but not required
- Proven experience handling workers' compensation cases, including trial experience.
- Deep knowledge of workers' compensation laws and the legal processes involved.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate for clients both in settlements and at trial.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in simple, accessible terms.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage a caseload while maintaining attention to detail and following Law Office policies.
