Eason & Tambornini is an established Sacramento law firm that has been representing injured workers and individuals for more than 30 years. We are looking for an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our team and represent injured workers throughout Northern California.

The Position:
The Workers' Compensation Attorney will manage their own applicant-side caseload with the support of our Workers' Compensation team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Represent injured workers before the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board
  • Manage cases from assignment through resolution
  • Develop case strategy and evaluate claims
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding their cases
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Review medical records and medical-legal reports
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Prepare for and handle hearings and trials
  • Work closely with case managers, legal assistants and other attorneys
  • Make sure clients receive timely communication and understand what is happening with their case

Qualifications:
  • Active California State Bar membership in good standing
  • J.D. from an ABA or CBE-approved law school
  • Minimum of 2+ years of California Workers' Compensation experience
  • Applicant-side experience preferred
  • Experience with depositions, hearings and WCAB proceedings
  • Trial and cross-examination experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and case-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
  • Commitment to providing excellent client service
  • Ability to work independently while also being part of a team

  • Compensation: $120,000 – $200,000
