Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, with expertise in handling a variety of civil cases. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing our company in legal proceedings, providing strategic counsel to management, and advocating for our interests in court.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent the company in civil litigation matters, including but not limited to contract disputes, employment disputes, intellectual property disputes, regulatory investigations, and other legal actions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies, assess risks, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage outside counsel.
  • Draft and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings as necessary.
  • Prepare for and participate in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Communicate effectively with opposing counsel, clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, outside counsel, and expert witnesses to build a strong case and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to management on litigation-related matters, including risk assessment, settlement negotiations, and dispute resolution strategies.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting the company's business operations.
  • Manage and prioritize a caseload of litigation matters, ensuring deadlines are met and cases are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist with other legal matters and projects as assigned by senior management or the General Counsel.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction(s).
  • 10 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and substantive law relevant to the company's industry and legal matters.
  • Excellent analytical, research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment, integrity, and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation and arbitration, is a plus.
