The Vice President, Litigation and Regulatory provides strategic oversight and day to day management of high-stakes complex litigation matters, regulatory matters, commercial disputes, government investigations and security incident response.

What You'll Do:
  • Work closely with senior executives to set case strategy and drive execution of that strategy.
  • Partner with outside counsel and other Equifax legal teammates to obtain desired outcomes.
  • Establish and lead corporate recovery practice.
  • Partner with Compliance team to support regulatory exams and investigations.
  • Partner with the Government Relations team to inform legislative strategy, reform and industry objectives.
  • Lead the legal response to security and/or other incidents.
  • Handle third party disputes.

What you bring:
  • This position requires a self-motivated and goal-oriented person with excellent consultative and communication skills and a proven ability to drive positive outcomes. The ability to work effectively within a team-oriented culture is integral. The VP, Litigation and Regulatory must be process-driven and possess strong prioritization, organization, interpersonal skills, accountability, reliability, and passion.
  • High level of business acumen with an appreciation for weighing legal and business risk.
  • Trial mindset approach that creates and drives leverage on cases.
  • 10+ years of complex commercial litigation experience with appellate practice experience.
  • Proven ability to establish strategy and to translate it into an effective, long-term action plan.
  • Proven ability to lead on a legal team in a highly regulated and complex environment.
  • Experience establishing and managing litigation budgets, including for counsel, experts, and vendors.
  • Experience dealing with state and federal litigators.
  • Experience conducting or overseeing civil and/or administrative trials.

What Could Set You Apart:
  • Experience with FCRA, FDCPA, CROA is a plus.
  • Experience in the financial services space is a plus.
