Rivkin Radler LLP is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney with a minimum of six (6) years of estate planning and estate administration experience to join our growing Trusts & Estates Practice Group.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience counseling individuals and families on estate planning matters and administering estates and trusts. Responsibilities will include drafting sophisticated estate planning documents, advising clients on wealth transfer strategies, handling estate administration matters, and preparing estate tax returns.
Candidates must possess strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage matters independently and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and other estate planning documents
- Advise clients on estate, trust, and wealth transfer planning strategies
- Handle all aspects of estate and trust administration
- Prepare and review federal and state estate tax returns
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex trusts and estates matters
- Communicate effectively with clients, fiduciaries, financial advisors, and other professionals
- Manage client matters from inception through completion
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration
- Strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience preparing estate tax returns
- Ability to work independently while providing outstanding client service
- Admission to the New York State Bar
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in accounting, taxation, and/or elder law is a plus
This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three (3) days per week in the office and permitting up to two (2) days per week remote.
The annualized salary range for this position is $160,000 to $235,000. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, business generation, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
