The Atlanta, GA office of An Attorneys, Lawyers in Atlanta seeks a Trust & Estates Associate with 2-5 years of sophisticated income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning experience for high net worth individuals. Prior experience drafting estate planning documents, including but not limited to, wills, revocable trusts, and irrevocable trusts such as intentionally defective grantor trusts is required. Experience with probate and trust and estate administration is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting in the preparation of IRS Form 709 (United States Gift (and Generation-Skipping Transfer)) Tax Returns and IRS Form 706 Federal Estate Tax Returns. The main focus of the associate's role will be to assist with the creation and implementation of wealth preservation strategies, business succession planning, and family-office planning. Prior law firm private practice experience is a must. A degree in accounting, CPA license, or LL.M. in Tax is strongly preferred, but not required depending on a particular candidate's work experience. Candidate must have excellent academic and employment credentials. Candidates must possess superior writing capabilities and thorough legal research prowess.
