Mulembo Law PLLC is a growing Tucson law firm focused on family law and criminal defense. We're looking for a trial-forward attorney who is client-centered, prepared, and comfortable in the courtroom.

Practice Focus (Case Types)
This role will primarily handle family law and criminal defense litigation, with a strong emphasis on hearings, contested matters, and trials. As the firm expands, there may be opportunities to grow into additional areas (such as immigration and personal injury) based on client demand and your interests/experience.

Who This Role Is For
This position is ideal for an attorney who:
  • Has strong trial/hearing experience or
  • Is a newer attorney with strong advocacy fundamentals who wants frequent court appearances, direct feedback, and coaching to sharpen litigation and trial skills

Responsibilities:
  • Appear in court (hearings, settlement conferences, evidentiary matters, trials)
  • Manage cases from intake through resolution within your assignments
  • Draft and argue motions; conduct legal research and writing
  • Negotiate and counsel clients with professionalism and clarity
  • Collaborate with staff to keep cases moving and clients informed

Required Qualifications:
  • Active Arizona Bar admission (required)
  • Courtroom presence and trial advocacy fundamentals
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills
  • Reliable, responsive, and professional client communication

Preferred Backgrounds
  • Family law and/or criminal defense (strongly preferred)
  • Immigration and/or personal injury (plus)
  • Estates & trusts (welcome if you also have strong trial/hearing experience)

Compensation + Bonuses
  • Base salary starts at $70,000 for a newly licensed Arizona attorney
  • Increases based on bar admission date and relevant experience
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to defined KPIs (clear metrics)
