Description:
Seeking an experienced intellectual property lawyer to lead our new trademarks, patents, and copyright department. This will be a high-growth position with significant support and investment in your success. You will have significant support in gaining new clients, advertising, and substantial administrative and logistical support.Pay will be commensurate with performance and skills. We offer a base of 100,000 + $50,000 to $150,000 or more based on collected fees.
Responsibilities:
We expect you to lead this practice area and we will support your leadership. At the outset, there likely will be some work in setting up businesses, evaluating existing trademark claims, and supporting advertising agencies in addition to the usual work with trademark, copyright, and patent law. (A lawyer at the firm comes from the advertising agency, tech, and startup world).
We are looking for an experienced, self-sufficient practitioner who can guide intellectual property matters from application through office actions. Candidates should be familiar with USPTO and federal court disputes as well as the updated public trademark system.
We'll make the rain and support you. You ensure the clients meet their intellectual property objectives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proficient in researching, drafting, and prosecuting trademark applications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Experience with: Litigation in Federal Court
- Arbitration
