As a Data Breach Attorney, you will be at the forefront of our mission to ensure justice is served for consumers affected by data breaches. Here's what you'll be responsible for:
  • Actively identifying and monitoring sources of data breach cases with set criteria to engage with the appropriate clients and cases.
  • Developing a template summons and complaint and other legal documents for each identified venue within the US.
  • Creating and responding to templatized process for surviving and/or combating motions to dismiss
  • Managing the filing of pleadings, tracking service of process, and ensuring SOL (Statute of Limitations) deadlines are met.
  • Drafting pleadings, complaints, discovery, motions, and other court filings for various State and Federal Courts.
  • Managing mediation and court approval processes for class action cases.
  • Drafting class action preliminary approval motions and passionately arguing final approval and fee motions; presenting and defending motions in court.
  • Preparing and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and collaborating with expert witnesses.
  • Analyzing and calculating damages stemming from Data Breach class action violations and penalties.
  • Conducting legal research on a variety of data breach and privacy issues in State and Federal cases.
  • Participating in mediation opportunities and second chair opportunities in Data Breach class action matters.

Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in complex consumer or civil litigation, focusing on developing and managing Data Breach and Privacy class action lawsuits
  • Class and/or mass action experience is highly preferred
  • Should be proactive, self-driven, and creative; have excellent writing, research, and analytical skills; and be proficient in pleading, motion, and discovery practice.
  • Licensed and in good standing in any state; Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
