Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Title Attorney to serve as the firm's primary resource for title review and complex title issue resolution. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys solving title problems and working deeply within the legal and technical aspects of real estate transactions without the pressure of client-facing closings or business development.
The Title Attorney will review abstracts, certify title, sign title opinions, and work directly with title companies to resolve issues that arise during the transaction process. The role also serves as a key internal advisor to closers and attorneys when title issues arise.

- Sign title certifications for residential transactions

- Communicate directly with title insurance underwriters to determine solutions
- Provide guidance to closers and attorneys on title matters

- Assist in developing internal processes and standards for title review
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active North Carolina Bar license
- 3–5+ years of experience in real estate title review or residential real estate transactions
- Strong understanding of North Carolina title standards and title insurance requirements
- Ability to independently analyze and resolve title defects
- Excellent written and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability
- Prior experience reviewing title abstracts and issuing title opinions
- Experience working directly with title insurance underwriters
- Familiarity with high-volume residential real estate practice
What Makes This Role Unique
