O'Hagan Meyer is seeking a litigation associate to join its Charlotte office. This is an excellent opportunity for associates to provide legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of the complex litigation process.

An ideal attorney will have at least 2-3 years of experience with any of the following: general liability, professional liability, products liability, real estate, HOA/Condominium association disputes, privacy and cybersecurity, and/or class actions. Relevant judicial clerkship experience will be credited toward the required years of experience.

Requirements:
  • This role requires legal research, drafting of pleadings motions and other documents, taking and defending depositions, representing clients in mediation, drafting and answering discovery requests, trial preparation and trial assistance.
  • Experience with both state and federal courts preferred, as well as state and federal administrative agencies.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • This position will require some travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections and depositions.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  • Admission to the state bar of North Carolina is required. Admission to South Carolina, Georgia, and/or Virginia is a plus.
