Mintz brings a unique mix of skills and resources to the practice of communications law. We represent broadband and cable providers; programming networks; licensed and unlicensed wireless service providers; cable, wireless and Wi-Fi trade associations; satellite operators and others in a broad range of regulatory, legislative and litigation matters before the FCC, Congress, Executive Branch agencies, and federal and state courts, as well as in domestic and international business transactions.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking an associate to join our Technology, Communications and Media practice in Washington, DC. Responsibilities will include:
  • Researching and drafting FCC pleadings and related filings
  • Drafting court motions, briefs and other pleadings
  • Preparing for depositions and managing the discovery process
  • Strategizing on how to help clients reach their regulatory and legislative goals
  • Advising on regulatory compliance issues
  • Assisting with due diligence for transactions

Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at Mintz. Therefore, the firm encourages working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm's published guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Must be admitted or eligible for admission in the District of Columbia
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities
  • Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings

The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $365,000. This position is bonus eligible.
