About the Position:
MWB has an immediate opening for a tax attorney to join our growing Estate Planning & Elder Law practice group. Qualified candidates must have a CPA license or LLM in taxation. The candidate must have at least five years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and business succession planning and it is preferred to bring a book of business. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, dedication to client service, strong knowledge of the tax code and associated planning strategies, organizational skills, attention to detail, problem solving ability, and desire to assist individuals and families with tax matters including complex estate planning and business succession matters. Annual billable hour expectation is 1,300 in addition to substantial involvement in the community.
Applicants must be comfortable working with clients directly, as well as working with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to advise and assist clients and property owners in achieving their goals. This position includes advising clients on transactions and other matters related to commercial real estate while exhibiting creative problem solving, the ability to organize and manage multiple files, and attention to detail.

Duties:
- Advise business owners, high net worth individuals, and colleagues regarding estate, gift, and income tax planning.
- Build relationships with clients and colleagues based on trust.
- Annual billable hour expectation is a minimum of 1,300, with additional hours dedicated to non-billable goals (e.g. community involvement, professional development, and business development).
Qualifications and Experience:
- CPA or LLM in Taxation
- At least five years of experience in estate planning, tax planning and business succession planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to client service and community involvement
Experience:
Attorney: 5 years (preferred)
