We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our Wilmington, NC office, supporting our North Carolina Foreclosure (NC FC) division. With a number of attorneys currently supporting other legal areas across the firm, we're looking to strengthen our in-office presence by bringing on an attorney dedicated to core foreclosure functions. This role will focus on document execution, title review, and hearing coverage, providing critical support to maintain consistency and efficiency in our NC foreclosure operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and execute foreclosure-related legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Conduct thorough title reviews and identify any curative actions needed.
  • Represent clients at foreclosure hearings and other court proceedings throughout North Carolina.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys across divisions to ensure efficient file progression.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients and internal teams as needed.

Position Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina, in good standing.
  • 0–3+ years of relevant experience in foreclosure, real estate, or civil litigation preferred (newly licensed attorneys will be considered).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Courtroom experience and confidence in oral advocacy a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in foreclosure or mortgage servicing law.
  • Familiarity with title review and curative processes.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Work Environment:
This is an in-office position based in our Wilmington, NC location. Occasional travel within the state for hearings may be required.
