The Philadelphia, PA office of Chamberlain Hrdlicka seeks an Associate with 3 - 7 years of federal tax controversy experience. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with federal tax disputes, including audits, appeals and tax litigation, as well as experience with substantive federal income tax issues. Corporate, partnership, criminal, and/or civil tax litigation is a plus. The ideal candidate also will have law firm, IRS Chief Counsel, Department of Justice (Tax Division), and/or US Tax Court federal clerkship experience. Candidate must have excellent academic and employment credentials, with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form with strong attention to detail. Successful candidate must have strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently and as part of a team. A degree in accounting, CPA license, or LL.M. in Tax is preferred but not required. Must be admitted to practice in at least one state (Pennsylvania a plus).
