Description:
A Tax Relief Company is seeking a Tax Attorney for its growing tax resolution practice.The ideal candidate is an organized, self-motivated, personable individual with sharp critical thinking skills and a high level of attention to detail. Experience with tax resolution — ideally at both the state and IRS levels — is required.
The Tax Attorney will be working directly with the Owner and clients on high-value cases but will also provide oversight on smaller cases where client interaction is delegated to case managers and other staff.
Requirements:
- Licensed attorney.
- At least 3 years' experience with tax resolution matters, ideally at both the IRS and state levels.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills and excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as primary point of contact for high-value clients. This includes responding within 24 business hours to client requests, emails, phone calls, etc.
- Serving as primary POA for high-value clients and secondary POA for other clients on their resolution matters.
- Providing a second level of review of other personnel's resolution analyses, offer in compromise submissions, collection information statements, etc.
- Communicating with IRS ACS to establish tax resolutions such as IA placement, PPIA placement, CNC placement, etc.
- Communicating with IRS revenue officers to reach resolution on clients' tax situations.
- Communicating with state revenue departments to reach resolution on clients' tax situations.
- Representing taxpayers in audits.
- Meeting deadlines and tasks in a timely manner to further expedite the resolution process.
- Providing excellent customer service while multitasking clients, tasks, goals, and expectations.
- Maintaining proper notes in CRM and tracking progress accordingly.
- Providing realistic timelines and case updates to clients and owner on a daily and weekly basis.
