About Us:
Nevada Disability Advocacy & Law Center (NDALC) is a private, statewide, non-profit organization serving as Nevada's designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) agency. NDALC is part of a nationwide network of P&A agencies that advocate, empower, and protect individuals with disabilities.

Essential Functions:
  • Active Nevada State Bar license, in good standing.
  • A commitment to enforcing and expanding the rights of people with disabilities across Nevada through individual and systemic advocacy.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends or after hours.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; both orally and in writing, with or without reasonable accommodation(s).
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and with NDALC project teams with appropriate supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, monitor and ensure compliance with policies/procedures related to client services and case handling.
  • Participate actively in weekly case review and grant specific team meetings.
  • Maintain, organize and update client files with updated client and project notes.
  • Provide direct client representation in negotiations, mediations, judicial and administrative proceedings.
  • Represent NDALC on boards, Commissions and Committees as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervising Rights Attorney or the Executive Director

Minimum Qualifications or Requirements:
  • Active Nevada State Bar license, in good standing.
  • Successfully complete state/federal background check(s) and any additional security level requirements required under our individual grantor programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or have sensitivity to people with disabilities
