Job Details:CABA Pro Bono Legal Services seeks a full time, passionate and dedicated Stafff Attorney to join our legal team. This position focuses on representing individuals and families facing eviction. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong commitment to serving the community.

Our team achieves this by offering free, direct legal assistance for civil legal matters to low-income Florida residents- regardless of race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation or national origin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Legal representation of tenants facing eviction.
- Conduct client interviews and legal assessments.
- Draft pleadings, motions and other court documents
- Negotiate with opposing parties.
- Represent clients in hearings, trials and other court proceedings.
- Conduct home visits as necessary.
- Conduct education workshops for tenants.
- Update cases and information daily.
- Maintain accurate and complete case files and documentation
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure holistic support for clients
- Participate in community outreach, education, and training sessions on tenant rights.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 1–3 years of experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to working with low-income population, preferably in a nonprofit or public interest setting preferred
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and legal writing skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic needs of a diverse client population
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Knowledge of Legal Server a plus
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation; willingness to travel within Miami-Dade and occasionally statewide
