Introduction:
Circuit Court Judges' Chambers is a small department of eleven employees who serve the five judges of the 20th Judicial Circuit in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Job Summary:
Judges' chambers is recruiting one full-time staff attorney to provide complex legal counsel and services to the five Circuit Court Judges. The staff attorney is required to provide an objective written summary in complicated matters of the procedural history, issues, relevant facts and exhibits, legal arguments propounded by the parties, and a recommended ruling to the court. The successful applicant will be capable of conducting complex legal research, drafting legal orders, memoranda, and opinions, responding to questions, and providing other legal services as required. This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may perform the responsibilities of the Lead Staff Attorney in their absence.

The successful candidate Must Submit a Five Page (Minimum) Writing Sample with this application. A resume/cv is preferred but not required.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Juris Doctorate from an accredited Law School (or equivalent as state law provides) is required; three (3) years of litigation experience as a licensed practicing attorney, must be a licensed member of the Virginia State Bar.
