Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, environmental law, and family law. This role requires exceptional legal research and writing skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and advocate for clients. The Staff Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, drafting documents, and representing clients in various legal matters.
Duties:
- Provide legal counsel on a wide range of issues including estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, and personal injury law.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
- Represent clients in litigation matters, ensuring their rights are protected throughout the process.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various disputes.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas such as securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, and patent law.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive client service.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office environment.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, and patent law.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies using platforms like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
- Exceptional writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess complex legal issues effectively.
- Prior experience in a legal administrative role is preferred.
