What You'll Do:
- Provide legal advice to CSI's management on questions related to insurance and securities laws.
- Represent CSI in administrative actions related to market conduct examinations, rate disputes, and other insurance law issues.
- Assist staff in drafting and reviewing contracts.
- Review and approve confidentiality requests and trade secret applications.
- Draft administrative rules and respond to public comments.
- Review licensing applications and file administrative actions to terminate or suspend licenses.
- Occasionally represent CSI in civil litigation.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor degree
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills
- The ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
- Membership in good standing in the State Bar of Montana, or the ability to become a member by an agreed-upon date.
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four or more years of experience in the insurance or securities industries
