We are looking to hire a Staff Attorney to advise the company's executive team on existing laws, changes in laws and regulations that have a meaningful impact on the business. This position will also maintain all legal documents, conduct or facilitate review of all legal documents, and collaborate with outside counsel, as needed.

Overall Responsibilities
  • Ability to draft, review, edit, and negotiate various commercial contracts.
  • Create a new suite of product-specific templates for A Financial & Legal Learning Company Order Form and associated Terms & Conditions.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Sales Officer, or designee, to tier A Financial & Legal Learning Company customers.
  • Build relationships with internal business teams, outside counsel, external vendors and customers.
  • Advise executive leadership on potential risks and termination clauses related to contract terms.
  • Implement a contact management technology package to help with reporting and visibility into contract terms.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer to implement a process of reporting and providing A Financial & Legal Learning Company customers with regulatory compliance surrounding security assessments.
  • Implement a third-party vendor management policy, process and contract repository.
  • Manage the registration and ongoing renewal requirements for maintain all A Financial & Legal Learning Company trademarks and patents.
  • Implement and oversee the ongoing maintenance of all entity related legal documents, including, but not limited to certificates of incorporation, insurance policies, company registrations, company policies, etc.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and provide practical solutions to contract questions.
  • Experience working with technology related vendors a plus
  • Familiarity with contract management and legal department software management tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
  • Juris Doctorate degree
  • State licensed attorney
