Position Summary:Honigman LLP is looking for smart, highly motivated, organized self-starters with a commitment to legal excellence and technology adoption to join our Professional Attorney Track program as a full-time Staff Attorney for our Honigman Review Solutions (“HRS”) team. Honigman Staff Attorneys work with the Firm's innovative HRS team to provide Firm clients with specialized corporate due diligence support. Staff Attorneys assist on a range of sophisticated and fast-paced projects integral to the Firm's business legal services. Beyond traditional legal work, Staff Attorneys will also participate as key members of the Firm's legal operational efforts in testing and adopting new and relevant practice technologies and service delivery solutions. This non-traditional role provides autonomy, a reasonable billable target, focused scope of work, and a collaborative environment in which to work. This role offers flexibility and options in working environment.
The Staff Attorney role is part of Honigman's industry-setting Professional Attorney Track, which includes a tiered non-partnership career trajectory. The Professional Attorney Track and Honigman Review Solutions provide multiple opportunities for career advancement for attorneys who have the ambition and skills to work on Big Law matters. This position is not a partnership track position, and it has no business development obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of concepts, issues, and resources in relevant practice areas, including:
- Handling M&A due diligence work;
- Reviewing standard commercial contracts and non-disclosure agreements;
- Engaging with Kira Systems and other due diligence and document review assistance software;
- Drafting summaries and other relevant synopses for inclusion in due diligence and other memoranda; and
- Handling day-to-day document management of large document collections housed in data room platforms.

Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited institution;
- Licensed Michigan, Illinois, or Washington, D.C. attorney in good standing, or with the ability to waive into either jurisdiction;
- At least 3 years of corporate diligence experience;
- Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills required;
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and punctually complete numerous tasks, even when under time constraints;
- Strong overall technology skills and a willingness to learn and apply new practice technologies or applications.
