Become a member of our Technology/Product legal team within An American Mass Media and Entertainment Conglomerate Company's Direct to Consumer (DTC) Business & Legal Affairs group.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal support for DTC business teams such as our DTC Technology Delivery, Video Playback, Systems Architecture, Commerce Product, Marketing Technology, and Consumer Insights teams. Become the direct contact and expert advisor for teams and executives assigned based on your expertise and interests and team needs.
  • Manage a high volume of technology transactions and other procurement agreements in support of An American Mass Media and Entertainment Conglomerate Company's DTC businesses with a focus on the Peacock, Peacock's international platform licensees, and other An American Mass Media and Entertainment Conglomerate Company digital properties including the NBC app.
  • Counsel DTC clients on risks associated with new product features, changes to our technology infrastructure, evolving laws and industry trends.
  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements and amendments such as for (i) SaaS agreements; (ii) software licenses; (iii) website, app and other software development agreements; (iv) IT support and outsourcing agreements; and (v) AI-related agreements.
  • Provide business advice to structure technology and procurement agreements to the benefit of the DTC group.
  • Provide first-level privacy legal analysis and assist clients and DTC Privacy legal team with identifying and addressing privacy legal issues and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with company specialists in areas such as IT security, intellectual property, insurance, trade control laws, and others to address risks posed by transactions and client counseling matters.
  • Perform special projects at the direction of senior attorneys, such as analysis and counseling regarding Peacock's platform customer relationships (e.g., SkyShowtime, Showmax), and Peacock distribution relationships (e.g., Apple, Roku).
  • Contribute to technology and procurement contract center of excellence function for DTC, including contract forms and guidance.
  • Advise clients regarding contractual rights and duties, matters of contract interpretation, and pre-litigation dispute resolution.
  • Other matters at the direction of senior leaders.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Law degree and member of New York bar, or other U.S. state bar and qualified as in-house counsel in New York.
  • Minimum 7 years related experience at law firm or comparable in-house position.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
