A Premier Employment Law Firm is a boutique labor and employment law firm located in Midtown Manhattan. We represent both employers and employees in a wide range of workplace disputes, with a strong emphasis on litigation. Our practice includes wage and hour class actions, discrimination and harassment matters, and employment contract disputes.We are seeking a skilled Employment Attorney with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience to join our team. This is a hands-on role with significant client interaction and responsibility from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intake interviews and case assessments
- Manage discovery, including document review and drafting responses
- Take and defend depositions
- Represent clients at mediations and court conferences
- Draft legal pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
- Handle hearings and assist in trials
- Negotiate settlements and employment agreements
- Perform legal research and prepare memoranda
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in New York
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Strong client service orientation
- Spanish fluency is a plus
