We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President & Counsel – Cybersecurity & Privacy to join An American Investment Banking Services Holding Company's innovative Data, Intellectual Property, Technology & Innovation (“DITI”) legal team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary/Orlando, FL. (In office 3 days per week)

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Acting as lead legal advisor to our Information Security Division, Enterprise Resiliency Office, and business teams to deliver risk-mitigation strategies and implementation guidance on changing global cyber regulations.
  • Providing cyber and privacy-related legal advice concerning business transactions, including negotiating, reviewing, and drafting complex security and data agreements with sophisticated clients, third party vendors, and business partners.
  • Contributing to develop the Bank's enterprise-wide best practices for incident response readiness and advising on incident response.
  • Working with our Public Policy & Government Affairs team to advocate for policies and comment on regulatory rulemaking.
  • Developing training programs, tools, and playbooks for internal stakeholders on cybersecurity and privacy incidents.
  • Performing legal research, staying abreast of cyber matters and new developments by participating in trade and industry groups, and managing outside counsel on providing legal advice.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Experience supporting global projects and working with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and to provide commercially-minded and risk-weighted legal advice.
  • Strong working knowledge of global cybersecurity laws and best practices, ideally in financial services or another critical infrastructure sector.
  • Experience with incident response.
  • Must be articulate, organized, and comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously involving varied legal issues. Appetite for learning is also critical.
  • Some AI experience preferred, but not required.
  • JD or equivalent degree required with 3-7 years' relevant experience preferred. In-house experience a bonus.
