Description:
Cicchiello & Cicchiello, LLP is a fast-paced plaintiff-side litigation firm seeking a senior or experienced trial attorney with substantial courtroom and trial experience to handle cases from inception through conclusion. We are looking for a confident, capable litigator who can manage a caseload independently, prepare cases for trial, and deliver strong results for clients. This is an in-person position for an attorney who thrives in a demanding litigation environment and is ready to take ownership of files, strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial work.The Attorney Will Handle Matters Involving:
- Personal Injury
- Medical Malpractice
- Employment Law
- Workers' Compensation
The attorney's Responsibilities will include the following:
- Manage litigation files from inception through resolution or verdict
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions and oppositions to summary judgment
- Conduct court appearances and evidentiary hearings
- Prepare cases for trial and handle jury trials
- Take and defend depositions, including party, fact witness, and expert depositions
- Work closely with experts and prepare expert disclosures
- Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and drive cases toward resolution or trial
- Conduct discovery, draft pleadings, and handle all aspects of pretrial preparation
- Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and the court
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience trying cases
- Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
- Experience handling cases independently from inception to conclusion
- Significant deposition experience, including expert depositions
- Excellent legal writing, motion practice, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand litigation environment
- Connecticut bar admission required
Preferred Experience:
- Plaintiff-side litigation experience
- Experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, and or employment litigation
- Strong familiarity with jury trial practice and complex discovery
