Description:
Purpose & Function Description:Provide comprehensive strategic legal, business, and negotiation advice across multiple touch points in the organization, with a focus on Human Resources and Procurement, through the following:
- Act as a strategic business partner and advisor to the organization on employment law matters and commercial agreements with third parties
- Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive advice on employment law issues
- Manage employment litigation and agency claims
- Negotiate commercial agreements to ensure best terms and most valuable rights
- At all times ensure a consistent and high standard for all internal standards and principles globally and within the local markets
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide employment law advice to Human Resources primarily focused on Retail and Distribution Center locations. Draft related policies and procedures. Conduct training on employment laws and best practices.
- Manage employment litigation and agency charges.
- Negotiate and draft a wide variety of commercial contracts – with a focus on non-trade procurement agreements
- Provide expert legal guidance and advice on a wide variety of commercial relationships.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree and Juris Doctor degree;
- 3-5 years of professional working experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with employment law background
