Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. As a Senior Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for handling complex business litigation and employment defense cases. Your expertise in drafting and responding to discovery, conducting depositions, and first-chair civil trial experience will be essential in achieving favorable outcomes for our clients. You will work closely with the firm's principal in legal strategy, collaborating on cases, and achieving extraordinary results for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle a diverse caseload of complex business litigation and employment defense matters.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and case strategy development.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
  • Prepare and argue motions, including dispositive motions and motions in limine.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods when appropriate.
  • Prepare for and serve as first-chair attorney in civil trials and arbitrations.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding litigation risks and strategies.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar with a clean disciplinary record.
  • Minimum of three years of experience practicing law, with a focus on business litigation and/or employment defense.
  • Proven track record of drafting and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, and serving as first-chair in civil trials.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and substantive law in the areas of business litigation and employment defense.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
