What you will be doing:
- You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of legal agreements, with a focus on B2B SaaS agreements
- You will work closely together with our commercial teams to assist them in closing new deals
- You will advise other business units, including management, on a broad range of matters, including employment law, data privacy and strategic matters
- You will lead the legal team to introduce tools, processes, trainings, and policies to support a scalable local and global legal department within the growing company
- You will create, update and maintain contracting playbooks and sales training materials
Who You Are:
- You earned your JD from an accredited law school and are admitted to the state bar, preferably in New York.
- Proven experience with complex SaaS contract negotiations, data privacy and security
- Quick thinker with ability to make quick decisions while managing risk
- Eager to learn and connect with others
- Self-starter – will have an opportunity to shape the legal function and will be expected to creatively develop, effectively present and collaboratively implement systematic solutions and process improvements
- Able to reliably cover the ET time zone
