Responsibilities:

Lead and manage complex family law and estate cases, ensuring each client receives personalized and strategic legal counsel.
Draft, review, and finalize essential legal documents with precision, safeguarding clients' interests and rights.
Represent clients in court with confidence and clarity, advocating for their best outcomes in family law and estate matters.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative legal strategies, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Provide empathetic and clear communication to clients, guiding them through challenging legal processes with understanding and support.
Stay updated on the latest legal trends and changes in family law and estate planning, ensuring our practices remain cutting-edge.
Mentor junior attorneys and staff, sharing your expertise to cultivate a knowledgeable and skilled team environment.
Keep client files properly organized and up to date
Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process

Qualifications:

Must live in the Fayetteville area for our newest location
Bachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required
