What you'll do...
About the Position:
Join the Litigation team and advise business and leadership about legal rights, obligations, and risks while helping to drive discovery strategy for the world's largest retailer. The Senior Counsel, Litigation Discovery role is critical for developing mitigation strategies by ensuring consistent implementation of company policies and practices, including those relating to strategic and electronic discovery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal and business risk. You will also drive portfolio strategy, review and edit court submissions, and manage legal spend.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Partnering with Managing Counsel and in-house counsel to drive quality and consistency in discovery.
  • Creating discovery strategies for the Company's litigation portfolio
  • Developing discovery best practices and procedures that will mitigate corporate risk
  • Reviewing and editing discovery-related documents drafted by outside counsel
  • Maintaining security and confidentiality of sensitive information, data, and communications
  • Keeping abreast of changes in the law impacting discovery and ensuring those changes are communicated effectively
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications...:

Law degree from an accredited law school and 5 years' experience in law.
License to practice law in at least one state.
