Clyde & Co US LLP seeks a Senior Counsel attorney to join our growing insurance coverage litigation practice in Seattle. This practice provides strategic guidance to insurance companies on first-party and third-party coverage analysis and defends against alleged bad faith claims in Washington and other jurisdictions nationwide.What You'll Do:
- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
- Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
- Is admitted to practice in Washington State.
- Has experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation or a commercial litigation background with an interest in insurance coverage work.
- Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Has strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Has the ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
- Has effective problem-solving skills.
- Has the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
