Description:

This Senior Counsel is a recognized specialist in labor and employment law who provides a comprehensive range of legal services and legal advice to BJC Hospitals and Service Organizations. The incumbent is a legal advisor who can demonstrate increasing competence in applying complex legal skills and practices, plus evidence of maturity and judgment to help analyze and solve legal issues and deal with BJC/SLHS management and outside counsel on legal matters.

Provides extensive advice on a wide range of labor and employment matters, provides expertise in the formulation and development of new policies and revision of existing policies; provides advice in the implementation and application of policies; develops and conducts legal training, handles agency charges, supervises litigation.

Demonstrates ability to effectively manage a workload that is large, diverse, and complex with minimal direct supervision or direction.

Possess exceptional legal knowledge and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Typically requires 7 or more years of working experience in health care law or specific legal area assigned(labor & employment).

Licensed Attorney - The Missouri Bar and licensed or eligible for admission to the Kansas Bar.
