A Manufacturer and Installer of Storage Buildings and Garages is hiring a Sr. Corporate Counsel located at our South Denver headquarters (I-25 & Colorado Blvd).
This position partners with the field and the National Support Center (NSC) in providing legal advice to further the company's objectives. This role will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts, ensuring that the contracting process is proactively managed, reviewing leases, providing employment law advice and address employment related claims, and working with outside counsel to protect the Company's intellectual property. This position will provide advice on employment law, including employee relations, policy interpretation, state law compliance, and responding to employment claims and demand letters. This position will collaborate closely with other departments within the organization to mitigate legal risks, comply with the law, and ensure adherence to company policies.

The essential functions for this position include but are not strictly limited to:
- Review and negotiate supplier agreements in conjunction with business team members
- Review and negotiate vendor contracts
- Review and negotiate unusual customer contracts
- Draft and continue to improve commonly used contract templates
- Provide supervision to manage and administer the company's contract database to allow the company to proactively track its ongoing obligations and maximize the company's leverage prior to the expiration of existing contracts.
- Review and negotiate lease agreements
- Advise HR and management on employment matters like hiring, termination, compensation, performance management, leaves of absence, promotions, and employee classifications
- Draft responses to EEOC charges and demands letters sent by lawyers on behalf of employees and former employees
- Review and draft non-disclosure agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks
- Work with outside counsel to ensure that A Manufacturer and Installer of Storage Buildings and Garages's intellectual property portfolio is protected
- Draft cease and desist letters to protect the company brand
- Review and suggest edits and keep current A Manufacturer and Installer of Storage Buildings and Garages policies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a range of legal matters
- Ability to translate legal concepts into actionable advice for the business
- Conduct internal investigations into employee complaints related to discrimination, harassment, or retaliation
- Collaborate with external counsel on employment-related lawsuits, including pre-trial discovery and litigation strategy
- Provide legal input on training to ensure compliance on all training requirements.
- Performing all other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the A Manufacturer and Installer of Storage Buildings and Garages management

- Excellent writing skills
- Contract drafting, editing and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills in establishing efficient processes
- Ability to interpret federal and state employment laws
- General understanding of intellectual property laws
- Understanding with compliance in Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA in all states
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management and employees
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet applications
- Ability to solve problems using sound logic and good business judgment
- Ability to read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and/or in diagram form
- Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports that create a professional image for A Manufacturer and Installer of Storage Buildings and Garages
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general public
Experience:
- 5-8 years of legal experience with in-house experience preferred.
- Business experience, preferred
