Our digital security and physical & identity businesses are continuing to grow, and we are looking for creative, collaborative, and results-driven lawyers to join our legal team. This role will play a key part in partnering with A $600 Million Privately-Owned Software and Credential Company's sales teams and with other members of our legal team. You may also support other commercial activities, including reviewing procurement contracts, supporting acquisition and integration activities and working with our product management and technology teams. How you will make an impact:
Partner with customers, sales and other areas of the business to interpret, draft, negotiate and close technology (e.g., software, managed and hosted services, cloud services/aaS technologies and hardware), support and professional services agreements and other types of agreements related to our business in a collaborative, creative, business-oriented, and timely manner

Working with A $600 Million Privately-Owned Software and Credential Company technology business partners, including product management

Collaborate with the legal team and key stakeholders within the organization to build efficiencies and processes into the customer contracting lifecycle to enable scalability (e.g., playbooks, contract standardization, and CLM projects, etc.)

Manage a large volume and variety of transactions in a fast-paced environment, be highly responsive and independently prioritize and manage projects effectively

Bring a positive "can do" attitude and build strong relationships with internal teams inside and outside the legal team (in particular with sales), at all levels and coordinate resources to work through contract negotiations

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • JD (or equivalent) from an accredited law school and authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (including the jurisdiction from which you are working from)
  • At least 8 years of relevant, post-law school experience (with at least 4 years in an in-house corporate environment, ideally supporting sales teams)
  • Ability to travel as necessary (estimated at 10%, if at all)
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience negotiating data privacy, information security, artificial intelligence legal issues; ideally with the cybersecurity industry
  • Experience negotiating contracts with US and Canadian governments (federal, state/provincial, local), financial institutions and/or large enterprise customers
  • A technical background (e.g., engineering or software development) is an asset but not required
