Senior Attorney positions require a minimum of two (2) years of legal experience.

One (1) year of litigation experience is preferred.

This position is located in Tallahassee.

The minimum annual salary is $75,000.00.

Employees of the A Government Entity are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for This Position Include the Following Required Entry Level Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and either Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis legal research tools.

Brief Description of Duties:
The Workers' Compensation section represents the Division of Workers' Compensation, especially in protecting the public from the immediate danger to public health, safety, and welfare posed by employers who fail to protect their workers by providing workers' compensation coverage. Attorneys will have early responsibility for their own litigation caseload of administrative enforcement cases, including developing case strategy, conducting discovery, and representing the Department in final hearings at the Division of Administrative Hearings. Section attorneys also handle appellate litigation, rule challenges, and advise the Division in the areas of medical services, self-insurance, injured employee assistance, and legislative analysis.
