Special Notes:A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admittance to the Florida Bar required.
Senior Attorney positions require a minimum of two (2) years of legal experience.
Litigation experience, administrative trial experience, or civil trial experience is preferred.
This position is located in Tallahassee.
The minimum annual salary is $75,000.00.
Employees of A Government Entity are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for This Position Include the Following Required Entry Level Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and either Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis legal research tools.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Prosecution and Enforcement section represents DFS on behalf of the Divisions of Insurance Agent & Agency Services, State Fire Marshal, and Funeral, Cemetery, & Consumer Services. Attorneys in this section have the opportunity to practice administrative and appellate matters. This section represents DFS in matters relating to licensee discipline, licensure denial, legislative bill analysis, and rule development. Attorneys who work with the Division of Funeral, Cemetery, & Consumer Services will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in litigating before a board.
