We are expanding strategically across California and beyond, and we are seeking a Senior Business Law Attorney to take over leadership of our Business Law Division from the Managing Attorney.

This is a leadership role with a clear partnership track. The right candidate will be equally comfortable litigating complex business disputes and structuring sophisticated transactions (including M&A, shareholder/partnership matters, and commercial deals). You'll build and lead a growing team while working directly with firm leadership to shape the division's future.

The Role:
  • Serve as lead counsel for complex business litigation matters, including shareholder/partnership disputes, commercial litigation, and real estate/construction-related cases.
  • Oversee transactional work including mergers & acquisitions, partnership agreements, and commercial contracts.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with business owners, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Supervise and mentor associates, paralegals, and support staff in the Business Law Division.
  • Collaborate with intake, marketing, and operations teams to drive division growth and deliver a world-class client experience.
  • Play a direct role in firm strategy, growth, and leadership—this is not just another “senior attorney” job; it's a seat at the table.

The Candidate:
  • 12+ years of combined litigation and transactional experience, with demonstrated first-chair trial or arbitration work and significant experience drafting/negotiating complex business deals.
  • Licensed in California. Additional state licenses are a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—able to see the big picture and help scale a fast-growing division.
  • Proven ability to originate and cultivate business clients (or willing to develop these skills with firm support).
  • Leadership presence, mentoring ability, and a drive to build something larger than yourself.
