Brief Description:
The purpose of this position is to serve as the lead attorney for all City contracts and real estate transactions. This role involves drafting and reviewing all City contracts, preparing real estate documents, and handling landlord-tenant leases and related issues, including evictions. Additionally, the position requires drafting and overseeing legal documents related to construction contracts. The person in this role will also assist the two Deputy City Attorneys. Other responsibilities include interacting with external counsel, drafting ordinances, interpreting laws, conducting legal research, and supporting other special projects as needed.

The qualified applicant must have experience drafting and reviewing contracts.

Licensing Requirements:
  • Licensed Attorney in The State of Texas.
  • Board Certification in Real Estate or Construction Law Is a Plus.
