Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Associate or Senior Counsel litigation attorney with 7+ years of experience to work with Trial & Defense practice in Boston. The ideal candidate is proactive, motivated, and organized and possesses superior writing skills.Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
- Manage a caseload of 25-30 matters
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend court hearings and mediations
- Draft and submit pleadings, motions and briefs
- Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients
- Conduct complex legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis
- Draft discovery requests and discovery responses
- Review and analyze documents and materials for production
- Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies
- Actively and effectively report to our insurance carrier clients and insureds
- Work on all aspects of litigation, from the initial responsive pleading through trial or mediation
- Manage and supervise associates and paralegals.
Education and Experience:
- Admitted to practice in Massachusetts and at least one, preferably more, of the following states: Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire
- J.D. 2019 or earlier
- Litigation experience
- Experience taking depositions
- Excellent academic credentials
