The ideal candidate will manage family law matters from intake to hearing and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, and advocating for clients in court. This individual will build client relationships and provide an excellent customer experience for clients. You know…the typical lawyer stuff!

Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and lead legal conversations with junior associates based on your years of experience.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action.
  • Manage full case responsibilities from inception through resolution.
  • Prepare clients and cases for hearings, court conferences, mediations, and trials.
  • Appear in court to represent clients and ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings.
  • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current.
  • Interact with clients and work with experts.

Qualifications:
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Applicants must reside in the state of Colorado and be a licensed attorney in the state of Colorado.
  • Previous experience in family law is a bonus, but not a deal-breaker.
  • Public Defender or District Attorney experience is highly desired, although also not required.
  • Experience preparing and arguing motions, attending court hearings, preparing cases for trial and hearing, and experience researching and drafting briefs and motions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
