We are seeking a full-time Senior Associate Attorney to assist in the management and litigation of its busy and growing Family Law practice. This attorney will be based in the firm's main office in Orlando and will handle all manner of Family Law matters in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, Lake, Polk & Sumter counties, including Dissolution (contested and uncontested), Paternity actions, Child custody disputes, Child support/Paternity, Enforcement & Modifications, Injunctions, & DCF/Shelter Proceedings.

This position requires a significant presence in the office and in the courtroom. However, there are also opportunities for flexible office hours. Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Dissolution (Contested and Uncontested).
  • Paternity Actions.
  • Child custody disputes.
  • Child support/Paternity.
  • Enforcement & Modifications.
  • Injunctions.
  • DCF/Shelter Proceedings.
  • Develop/recommend case strategy.
  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Report on hearing, depositions, appearances.
  • Corresponds with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding cases.
  • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision.
  • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts.
  • Comply with Experienced Personal Injury & Real Estate Attorneys policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Microsoft office and other office software to create and edit documents.
  • Bring a positive and team-oriented demeanor to our office environment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Significant prior Civil/Family trial experience.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, Lake, Polk & Sumter counties from Orlando as necessary to manage the caseload.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented with great empathy and interpersonal skills and a strong customer-service orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with spoken and written fluency in English.
  • Must be able to multitask and handle high-stress, sensitive situations with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle and keep client information confidential.
  • This job requires the use and exercise of independent judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Filevine, Lead Docket
  • The ability to work well under pressure, and to learn and retain new information.
  • Excellent planning and reporting skills.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Ability to type at least 45 WPM with excellent writing skills while navigating through multiple software applications.
  • Excellent proof-reading skills and the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Office and Cloud-based Lead Management & File Management Systems.

Filevine, Lead-Docket

Board certification in Marital & Family Law is highly preferred but not required.

Education:
A minimum of 6 years of experience litigating all aspects of Family Law matters.
